Bulim is one of 5 precincts in the Jurong Innovation District (JID), situated in Singapore’s western manufacturing belt, with key industries such as advanced manufacturing, robotics, urban solutions, clean technology and smart logistics, that will provide a testbed for innovations.

In a test of JID’s grade separated traffic and elevated pedestrian network, Bulim Square consists of 4 blocks of industrial factory spaces that are linked at Level 2 through the M-deck, which is a raised landscaped platform for pedestrians, cyclists and autonomous vehicles that connect across the Bulim precinct, and features a shared plaza that is activated through its high visibility from all the blocks.

Below grade, the 4 blocks are connected via the basement, which contain the Central Services Tunnel that provides utilities to Bulim Square and the surrounding plots. Delivery vehicles are also directed to the basement, where loading/ unloading bays are shared, and delivery vehicles can access other plots through connecting tunnels.

In Bulim Square, the connectivity encourages an eco-sustainable environment and active community that comes together to share ideas, knowledge, space and values.
