The basement transit crossroads in Nex serves as an anchor for the Serangoon community, with the mall being fully integrated with the air-conditioned Serangoon Bus Interchange and the Serangoon Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Interchange Station, where the North-East Line and the Circle Line intersect. It also opens up into the civic plaza, seamlessly linking the Basement 2 (B2) transit node to the Serangoon community.

Located on the rooftop of NEX is a series of amenities and social spaces designed like a town square – a fun-filled hub incorporating a dog park, a children’s playground with dry and wet interactive play equipment and Serangoon Public Library.
